Los Verdes Golf Course is the first course I played in California and in the US back in 2010. A new experience of golfing for me, and that's one of the reasons I'm so attached to it going back to play it occasionally.
It's a magnificent public course located right on top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula with great views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. Maybe one of the best views a golf course can offer in the region. Owned by Los Angeles County is managed by American Golf Corporation,
Designed by William F. Bell (Torrey Pines), LV opened in 1964 and it has been recently renovated becoming one of the busiest golf courses of the area. A par 71 6,617 yds long on Kikuyu grass, not extremely challenging if not considering the 18 demanding tricky greens.
To be mentioned Los Verdes's new double deck Driving Range, one of the best of the area, with 44 mats available for practicing.
