La Quinta Resort Mountain Course, La Quinta, California, Usa

http://www.laquintaresort.com/5_golf_courses/golf_courses_overview/

The second course of our "two days - three courses" trip in the Desert is located just a few miles from SilverRock Resort. A course I played already two years ago and that I was so eager to play again.
The Mountain Course at La Quinta Resort is internationally recognized as one of the greatest Pete dye's creatures. Thanks to its demanding layout, to its location, with a few holes carved right into the Santa Rosa Mountains, and to the breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and mountains, after 33 years since its opening (1980) is still named among Golf Magazine's "Top 100 Courses You Can Play" in the United States.
Even if it is not one of the longest golf courses of the area (6732 yds from the back tees, 72.9/135), 94 bunkers and 2 lakes will test the ability of every golfer along the challenging layout of this stunning golf course where accuracy is needed on every shot.
The undulated front nine holes located at the base of the mountain are an introduction to what the golfer will find on the last holes of the course. The first four holes of the back nine (may be the less exciting of the course) are designed through a residential area (Be aware of the houses located along the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th holes...they are so close to the fairways!!) while 14th is an uphill par 4 on a natural canyon that will guide the golfer towards one of the greatest stretch of holes in golf: 15th a long downhill par 5 with the green hided by the mountain, 16th, the signature hole of the Mountain Course, an amazing downhill par 3 with  the green surrounded by desert mountain rocks and 17th, a downhill par 4 where an accurate tee shot is required to carry a long desert area before reaching the undulated and hidden fairway. Absolute beauty!

On that last four holes I felt like playing somewhere so far-away from everything. Almost surreal.
The light breeze, the incredible silence, the amazing desert scenery surrounding me and the lush green of the fairways: I felt marvelous emotions on one of my favorite golf courses in California.

  2. Feed your brain. Just like the body, the brain needs fuel. A healthy diet, including vegetables, fruits and plenty of whole grains, can help to boost your memory. In addition, try to limit saturated fat in your diet. Saturated fats can hinder concentration and memory. Drinking alcohol in moderation can also help your memory and cognitive skills. One glass of red wine a day is the ideal option. California marijuana
