Oak Creek Golf Club, Irvine, California, Usa

Located in the middle of Irvine, Ca. between the 5 and 405 freeways, Oak Creek is an enjoyable upscale public golf known as Orange County's golfer's sanctuary.
Designed by architect Tom Fazio (Pelican Hill Golf Club)  and managed by The Irvine Company (they also manage Pelican Hill) it features 18 scenic holes set among the beautiful settings of the Saddleback Mountains.
Opened in 1996 the course is a Par 71 6850 yds long (72.7/132).
Ranked by Golf Digest in 2009 with “4 Stars” and as one of the “Best Places to Play”, Oak Creek also features Orange County’s “Finest Practice Facility”, as rated by Southland Golf Magazine readers in 2009.

In typical Fazio style, Oak Creek is challenging from start to finish, featuring generous fairways but deep rough, large and tricky greens, strategically placed bunkers, waste areas and a couple of lakes that come in play on three holes. There are two signature holes. The #9, a 500yds par 5 with a green located just a the edge of a pristine lake, and the #12, the shorter par 3 of the course (173 yds) , where the green is guarded on three sides by a little pond.
Two par 5s (#1 and #9) and five par 4s in a row (#3 #4 #5 #6 #7) on the front nine require your attention on every shot, two very long par 4s  (429yds #13, 456yds #18th) on the back nine and three par 3s out of four longer then 200yds make Oak Creek tougher then you may imagine.
And when you'll reach the 18th green and you'll se the picturesque mission style clubhouse getting closer, you'll realize what a great experience you had playing this fantastic golf course.
