Soon after my round at Coyote Springs, and after a one hour drive in the desert direction Mesquite, NV I reached Conestoga Golf Club. I was really eager to play this new Troon managed golf course, ranked among the Top 10 2012 Golf Week's "Best Courses You Can Play" in the state of Nevada, opened just 2 years ago, in spring 2010. And my curiosity has been rewarded, finding a really fun and masterfully designed terrific course surrounded by the Mesquite hills.
Designed by Gary Panks, Conestoga is challenging par 72 course, 7,232 yds long from the tips with a 147 slope, and is considered one of the toughest courses of the area.
The course has a spectacularly layout with breathtaking views of the red rocks hills, dramatic elevation changes and canyons, masterfully integrated in the the amazing local scenery.
Some of the holes are unforgettable for a first time player...Par 3 2nd hole, where the green is 100 feet below the tee area, Par 5 6th, Par 5 9th, and Par 3 14th among my favorites.
I played here in the afternoon accompanied by a perfect light which painted the surrounding hills of and incredibly light red color creating a magic atmosphere on the course.

Played here Nov 2012.. Very nice course in great condition would play it again. The day we foursome played it was chilly, windy and a little rainy. The clubhouse was very nice. Some very interesting holes.

Looks like such a peaceful course, I have really found a lot of hidden gems of courses in Nevada and around the Las Vegas area they really take their tee times seriously there and it means some great golfing for everyone who finds them
